Verapamil Uses

Verapamil uses include treating several conditions of the heart and blood vessels in adults. These conditions include high blood pressure, chest pain, and certain types of irregular heart rhythms. The drug works by blocking the rate at which calcium enters the heart and blood vessel walls. This allows the blood vessels to relax and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood. Off-label verapamil uses include treating migraines and manic depression.
