Verapamil Drug Interactions

Drug interactions can occur when verapamil is taken with certain other medications, such as aspirin, certain benzodiazepines, and beta blockers. Some of these verapamil drug interactions may alter the amounts of the medications in your blood, potentially decreasing the effectiveness of the drugs or increasing your risk of side effects. To minimize these complications, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider (prior to taking verapamil) about potential drug interactions that may apply to you.
