Generic Verapamil

Verapamil is available in several generic forms. Some of these generic verapamil products are equivalent to each other, while others are not. Also, not all of the verapamil generics are approved to treat the same conditions, and the recommended dosages may be different depending on the product.

 

An Overview of Generic Verapamil

 Verapamil hydrochloride is a prescription medicine used to treat various conditions of the heart and blood vessels. It is part of a group of medications called calcium channel blockers.
 
There are many different versions of verapamil. Some are equivalent to each other, while others are not. Not all verapamil medications are approved for the same uses, and the dosages may be different. Different versions of verapamil include:
