Trandolapril: When and How Do I Take It?

Some general considerations for when and how to take trandolapril include:
 
  • Trandolapril comes in tablet form that is usually taken once or twice a day.
     
  • Trandolapril may be taken with or without food.
      
  • Trandolapril should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level of the medicine in your blood.
     
  • For trandolapril to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Trandolapril will not work if you stop taking it.
     

Trandolapril Dosage

The dose of trandolapril that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • The medical condition being treated
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be currently taking.
     
As with any medication, do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Trandolapril Side Effects

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with trandolapril. However, not everyone who takes trandolapril will experience side effects. When they do occur, trandolapril side effects are often minor, meaning that they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
