It is reasonable to expect that your doctor will have more information about your heart's blood supply and general condition from a stress test. Although this test does not locate specific areas of blockage or heart disease, it does identify general areas of the heart that may not be getting enough blood.
If you are found to be at a higher risk for heart disease, your doctor will discuss these findings with you as well as the alternatives and choices for more testing and possible treatment options.
