Rythmol SR Drug Interactions

Haloperidol
Rythmol SR may increase the level of haloperidol in your blood, which could increase your risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider about this potential interaction before taking these medicines together.
 
Imipramine
Rythmol SR may increase the amount of imipramine in your body, increasing your risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider about this potential interaction before combining these medications.
   
QT-Prolonging Medications
Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you closely if you take Rythmol SR with any other medication that can cause QT prolongation (a certain change in the heart rhythm), due to the risk of a life-threatening abnormal heartbeat (heart arrhythmia).
 
Orlistat
Orlistat may decrease the amount of Rythmol SR absorbed into the bloodstream from the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. There have been reports of people experiencing serious side effects after abruptly stopping Orlistat during Rythmol SR treatment. If you take Orlistat, make sure to let your healthcare provider know. Also, do not suddenly stop taking the medication without talking to your healthcare provider.
 
Theophylline
Rythmol SR may increase blood levels of theophylline, increasing your risk for theophylline toxicity. Talk to your healthcare provider about this potential interaction before taking these medicines together.
 
Venlafaxine
Rythmol SR may increase blood levels of venlafaxine, increasing the risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider about this potential interaction before taking these medications together.
 
Warfarin
Rythmol SR has been shown to increase warfarin blood levels, increasing the risk for bleeding. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your warfarin dose based on your prothrombin time ("protime" or PT) and international normalized ratio (INR), especially when you first start or stop using Rythmol SR.
