Who Should Not Take Propranolol?

You should not take propranolol if you:
 
  • Are allergic to propranolol, Inderal, or any inactive component used to make propranolol. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of inactive ingredients.
  • Have a slow heartbeat (bradycardia) with a certain type of irregular heart rhythm (specifically, second or third degree heart block).
  • Have asthma.
