Metallic Taste and Propafenone

During clinical trials on propafenone (Rythmol®), a metallic taste or other unusual tastes were the most commonly reported side effects, occurring in up to 23 percent of people. In most cases, reactions to this medicine tend to be mild and easy to treat. However, serious problems can occur.
 
It can be difficult to determine whether you will develop side effects while taking propafenone. Make sure to contact your healthcare provider if you are taking this medicine and develop anything that "just does not seem right."
