Injury to Arteries or Organs After Bypass Surgery

Injury to a coronary artery is another potential complication of
bypass surgery. This situation will require a repeat operation with placement of a coronary artery bypass to the injured coronary artery. Injury to other major organs can also occur as a complication of bypass surgery. This type of injury can be repaired during the operation. However, this may also require another operation to repair the damage.
