Omega-3 fatty acids certainly will not stop aging or make you instantly young again, but they may help with some of the problems related to aging. They may help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration, osteoporosis, strokes, and heart attacks. However, it is not clear if omega-3 fatty acids are useful for preventing Alzheimer's disease or cancer.

Some omega-3 fatty acids are effective for lowering triglycerides and preventing repeat heart attacks. They are probably useful for a number of other conditions as well.
