Nitro-Dur is not approved for use in children. If your healthcare provider recommends this product for your child, make sure to discuss the risks and benefits. Because angina due to coronary artery disease is most common in older adults, it would be highly unlikely that a healthcare provider would recommend Nitro-Dur for a child.
On occasion, healthcare providers may prescribe medications for something other than the approved uses. This is known as an "off-label" use. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for Nitro-Dur patches.
