Drug Interactions With Nadolol

A number of medications can interfere with nadolol, including calcium channel blockers, clonidine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and certain arrhythmia medicines. Nadolol drug interactions can increase your risk of developing potentially serious problems, including dangerously low blood pressure, strokes, a slow heart rate, and heart failure.

An Overview of Nadolol Drug Interactions

 Nadolol (Corgard®) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with nadolol include:
 
  • Alpha blockers (or medications with alpha-blocking activity), including:

 

 

 

 

  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:

 

    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
    • Quinidine
    • Sotalol (Betapace®)

 

 

 

 

 

  • Reserpine.
