Minitran Uses

Can Children Use It?

Minitran is not approved for use in children. If your healthcare provider recommends this drug for your child, be sure to discuss both the risks and benefits. Since angina due to coronary artery disease is most common in older adults, it would be highly unlikely that a healthcare provider would recommend Minitran for a child.

Off-Label Uses of Minitran

Sometimes, healthcare providers may prescribe medications for purposes other than the approved uses. This is known as an "off-label" use. At this time, there are no universally accepted off-label uses for Minitran patches.
