Exercise and Atherectomy Recovery

With regard to physical activity, you will need to avoid vigorous exertion or strenuous activity for one to two weeks after an atherectomy.
 
If a stent was inserted, you will be given an identification card with information. Keep this card with you at all times. For the first few months after stent placement, you should not have any MRI scans, because the stent is made of metal.
