Nitrolingual Spray Information

Nitrolingual® Pumpspray (nitroglycerin spray) is a medication used in the treatment of angina (chest pain). It can be used both to treat an attack after it has started and to prevent angina that may be brought on by exertion (provided it is taken right before the activity). The medicine is not effective for long-term treatment, however, and cannot prevent future attacks.

Prior to using Nitrolingual, inform your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have and any other drugs you are taking. This spray is not appropriate for all people or all situations. For example, if you are currently taking a PDE5 inhibitor, like Viagra®, you will need to use a different angina medication.
