Nifedical XL Drug Information
Available by prescription only, Nifedical XL® (nifedipine) is a medication used to treat certain types of chest pain (angina) and high blood pressure (hypertension). It comes in the form of an extended-release tablet that is taken once a day. Because this drug has not been adequately studied in children, it is currently approved for adults only. Fatigue, headache, and swelling are some of the most common side effects of this medicine.
Prior to beginning treatment with Nifedical XL, review the drug's safety information with your healthcare provider. This product can react with other medications, so your healthcare provider needs a complete list of all other medicines you are taking. He or she also needs to know about any other medical conditions you have, such as low blood pressure or heart disease.
(Click Nifedical XL for more detailed information on this drug, including details on its effects in the body, what to expect during treatment, and other safety issues to be aware of before using it.)
