Diltiazem Uses

Diltiazem is used for treating high blood pressure and certain types of chest pain in adults. Although diltiazem is not a cure for these conditions, it can help control them and can decrease the risk of developing health problems associated with long-term high blood pressure (such as strokes or heart disease). Diltiazem works by relaxing the blood vessels to improve blood flow. Some off-label diltiazem uses include treating arrhythmias and migraines.
