Coumadon

Were you looking for information about
Coumadin? Coumadon is a common misspelling of Coumadin.

Healthcare providers will often prescribe Coumadin® (warfarin sodium) to prevent or treat blood clots caused by various conditions. The anticoagulant drug does not "dissolve" or break down blood clots, but rather keeps the clot formation in check to allow the body's natural processes to break down the clot. People taking Coumadin must follow certain dietary restrictions and avoid taking numerous other medications, as many drugs and foods interact with this medicine.

(Click Coumadin for more information on how the medication works, what forms and strengths are available, and what side effects may occur. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
