Coumadin? Coumadine is a common misspelling of Coumadin.
Coumadin® (warfarin sodium) is an anticoagulant medication often used for the prevention and treatment of blood clots. It works to inhibit blood clotting by decreasing the formation of certain active clotting factors. The medicine comes in tablet form and is typically taken once a day. Before your healthcare provider prescribes Coumadin, make sure he or she is aware if you are pregnant or have high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, or diabetes.
