Coreg CR Drug Interactions

Coreg CR can interfere with a number of other medications. For example, drug interactions may occur if Coreg CR is taken in combination with calcium channel blockers, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or certain antidepressants. These interactions could increase your risk of potentially serious problems or affect the medication levels in your blood.

Drug Interactions With Coreg CR: An Overview

 Coreg CR® (carvedilol CR) can potentially interact with a number of other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Coreg CR drug interactions include (but are not limited to):
 
  • Alpha blockers, including:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:

 

    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
    • Quinidine
    • Sotalol (Betapace®)
