Choline Fenofibrate
Healthcare providers recommend choline fenofibrate for treating unhealthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels. This medication is available by prescription only and comes in the form of a delayed-release capsule that is taken once a day. Nausea, headaches, and diarrhea are some of the most commonly reported side effects. Unlike many similar medications, it can be used in combination with a statin medication.
What Is Choline Fenofibrate?
Choline fenofibrate (Trilipix®) is a prescription medication used for treating unhealthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It works to lower bad cholesterol (LDL cholesterol), decrease triglycerides, and increase good cholesterol (HDL cholesterol). Unlike other similar medications, it is approved to be used in combination with statins.

Keep in mind that if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if accompanied by a fever or a feeling of illness, it is important to contact your healthcare provider right away.
